TEDxYouthDay is a series of TEDx events happening all around the world on  Universal Children’s Day. These events are designed to empower and inspire young people.


What is TEDx Youth@Miami:


In the spirit of allowing youth in our Miami community to share powerful ideas worth Spreading we are hosting a TEDx event  at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, November 22, 2013.

The Selection Committee is seeking youth ages six (6) through twenty-five (25) who have extraordinary voices or other means to share a unique story or unusual perspective --- and convey it in a dynamic way. This event will highlight a select number of young people's waves of ideas to bring new light and wonderment to a live audience. TEDxYouth@Miami will also be livestreamed to a global audience.

Presenter Criteria and Selection Process:

- Local Youth ages six (6) through twenty-five (25)
- 3-5 minute talk or presentation
- Youth who can present their passion in a new light
- Diverse demographics, ethnicity, backgrounds, subject matter
- Submission of a talk or presentation proposal via video/CD (if it is a 'talk', it doesn't need to be memorized this time. However, it must be memorized by September 30th when the event practices begin.
